Mobile Car Spa reaches goal to fund Well building project in Malawi, Africa

Some of you may already be aware, for every car that’s cleaned by Mobile Car Spa, Mobile Car Spa HQ donates 20p to Drop4Drop, a charity which is destined to alleviate the world water crisis.

Well, after a number of years of partnership, we have finally reached our goal and I am truly honoured to reveal that we have been able to fund our own well project for the people of a small community of Bichi, in Mzimba, Malawi.

As we at Mobile Car Spa use water on a daily basis for the cleaning of vehicles, it's easy to take water for granted, that's why Mobile Car Spa has teamed up with Drop4Drop to help make a difference to those who don't even have safe clean drinking water.

This village had wells already dug but they were not safe for the children to use as they weren’t sufficiently clean enough. Throughout the country, millions of people are forced to risk their own health as well as their families due to not having a reliable and safe water source to drink from. The real danger of contracting nasty illnesses and even catching life-threatening diseases is something drop4drop projects aim to eradicate. When the people heard about drop4drop, they quickly asked for assistance in their village. They are very thankful and now enjoy a good clean water thanks to their new pump. DROP4DROP’s mission in Malawi is not only to provide local communities with specialised water wells and pumps that suit their situation, but to give them the tools and knowledge they need to maintain and use the equipment for themselves.
